MCCF has created a Player’s Code of Conduct for the participating players at both Under 12s and Under 11s.
The Young Cricketers that participate at our festivals should be aware of such a document and their participating Teams should have their own Code of Conduct.
A Code of Conduct aims to help a player’s development as a cricketer and sports person and ensure that they are aware of what standards are expected from them whilst taking part in our festival.
All young players involved in the festival will be issued with their team’s Code of Conduct and thereby agree to abide fully by its contents. Although playing as a team to win is the fundamental aim of the game, it is important that whatever the result, we maintain high standards that always underpin the game of cricket with fair play and respect shown to all involved.
Any breach of the Code of Conduct may lead to your player being warned as to their future conduct or in more serious cases may lead to suspension or players being barred from taking part in the festivals. During festivals, players may be sent home for any serious breaches that appear in your Code of Conduct.
Failure to comply – Disciplinary Procedure
Any breach of this code may lead to the player being warned as to their future conduct or in more serious cases being suspended or barred from spectating in MCCF Festival activities.
In the first instance, a verbal warning as to future conduct will be issued by the relevant participating team’s Age Group coach/manager. Further breaches may result in a written and final warning being issued by the Festival Organiser/Accompanying Team’s Administrator.
Should a parent wish to appeal against any disciplinary measures issued to them (as detailed above) they should, in the first instance, formally contact in writing to the Accompanying Team’s Administrators, who will investigate and reply in writing with a full response.
Grievance Procedure
If a parent has any issues or concerns about their child’s involvement with the Accompanying Team’s administrator, a grievance procedure exists. In the first instance, parents should raise the issues or concerns informally with the Accompanying Team’s staff.
